ListenAheadIQ is designed as a local audiobook player with optional sleep-aware resume features. The app can access audiobook files that you explicitly select and, if you grant permission, certain sleep information exposed through Android Health Connect.
When you choose an audiobook folder, ListenAheadIQ can read supported audio files and related artwork or metadata from the location you selected. This access is used to display your library and play your audiobooks. The app does not need to upload your audiobook files to a ListenAheadIQ server for its core playback features.
ListenAheadIQ may store app data on your device such as book identifiers, chapter position, playback speed, bookmarks, bedtime-session timing, playback checkpoints (including higher-frequency checkpoints during bedtime sessions), and recommended resume positions. These records support resume, history, and sleep-correlation features.
If you choose to connect sleep information, ListenAheadIQ requests read access to sleep records available through Android Health Connect. Sleep session times and sleep-stage timing may be used to estimate where audiobook playback was when you fell asleep and to calculate a recommended resume position.
Health access is optional. You can deny or revoke Health Connect permission through Android. ListenAheadIQ's current design does not require writing sleep records to Health Connect.
ListenAheadIQ does not require a direct Garmin account connection for the Health Connect workflow. If a third-party app such as Garmin Connect places sleep data into Health Connect, Android may make that data available to ListenAheadIQ after you grant the required permission. Third-party services have their own privacy policies and data practices.
This static website does not intentionally request health records or audiobook files. The hosting provider may process ordinary technical request information such as IP addresses, browser information, timestamps, and security logs as part of providing and protecting the website.
The current public website package does not include advertising trackers, marketing pixels, user accounts, or a custom analytics script. If these practices change, this policy should be updated before or when those features are introduced.
App-created playback and bedtime information is stored locally as needed for app functionality. Removing app data or uninstalling the app may remove locally stored ListenAheadIQ records, subject to Android behavior. Removing ListenAheadIQ does not delete source audiobook files or records maintained by Health Connect or another provider.
ListenAheadIQ is not specifically directed to children. The app should not be used to provide health-data access for a child where doing so would violate applicable laws, platform rules, or parental-control requirements.
Reasonable care is taken to limit access to the data needed for app functionality. No method of software storage or transmission can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
This policy may be updated as ListenAheadIQ develops. The effective date at the top of this page will be updated when material changes are published.
Privacy and support contact information will be published on the Support page before the public app release.
